For more than 25 years, Michel Darioly has been organ­izing horse shows in the Cantons of Valais and Vaud and in France. During 19 years under his direction, until Summer 2022, the Verbier International Showjumping Competition has acquired a reputation that attracts the elite of world riders. A consummate networker, he has devel­oped a firm friendship with Véronique, Patrick and Michael Fel­lay, of the VFP real estate agency, loyal sponsor of the competition. At almost 60 years of age, the man who was named “businessman of the year” in 2011 has lost none of his energy.

It is on this precept that the holistic approach of Claude Girault, natural medicine therapist and founder of the E.M.T practice (Essentiel Massage Thérapie), in Verbier, is based.

It was around local products that the clients and friends of VFP were able to discover the magnificent works of Sabine Fournier on Friday 17 February. A convivial moment in the heart of Verbier which allowed to associate wine tasting and small fours concocted by the Bakery Michellod and to admire the paintings of a Valaisan artist. The Philippe Roux sportshop is an institution in Verbier which has developed along with the resort and will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2023. The store is writing a new page in its history headed by Christophe Roux, representative of the second generation and 2019 champion of the Valais Rally.

A real institution in the resort. The charm of the place can be felt as soon as you cross its threshold. You are welcomed with a broad smile and the tables crowded with loyal locals or curious tourists create a warm atmosphere. The layout of an all-wooden bar separates the two wings of La Grange, the pub with 60 places offering traditional dishes such as the region’s famous wood-fired raclette; the other with 40 places offering a gourmet menu, where you can order a small glass at your leisure before returning to your table.
