Next August, from 15th to 20th, Verbier will be welcoming the first Verbier Padel Masters and the best players in the world on the Périn carpark. The competition will be integrated into the A1 Padel world circuit, one of the three international circuits (with the World Padel Tour and Premier Padel) that exist today. This new event will contribute to Verbier’s shining presence outside its Swiss borders and with the attractive incentive of summer. For this unique occasion, we had a chat with the organisers : Stan Wawrinka, Naella Wawrinka, Dan Hafner and Renato Lombardi.

Né et ayant grandi à Verbier, Yannick Michellod est un vrai entrepreneur local. Après une formation de paysagiste à Genève, il a travaillé quelques années au Châble pour une entreprise spécialisée dans les espaces verts, avant de lancer sa propre structure en 2016. Une startup qui s’est transformée en PME. Au départ, leurs locaux étaient dans le sous-sol d’une vieille grange composée de terre battue avant de s’établir en 2019 dans le spacieux et nouveau dépôt construit à ­Versegères. L’entreprise est aussi passée de 2 employés à 10, voire 15 employés aujourd’hui selon la saison. Spécialisée dans l’aménagement et l’entretien des espaces verts, Michellod Paysage est devenue en quelques années une entreprise de paysagisme incontournable de la région. Interview du fondateur.

When we walk into the Médran Sports SA shop, we feel immediately at home. André Filliez, known as Dédé, his daughter Caroline, his son Jean-François, known as J-F, and his wife Maggie welcome you with open arms into a warm atmosphere. His family team is joined by Clémence, the sales assistant and Simon, the second mechanic both of whom bring a real energy to the place.The shop that is open throughout the year is a supporter of a 4 season Verbier. In winter it is delighted to serve it’s loyal clientele, selling and renting ski equipment for both piste and back country skiing, and kitting them out in technical clothing and accessories. In the summer, sales and rentals of all kinds of bikes have really taken off (road bike, mountain bike, e-mountain bike, Enduro and bike accessories).

Le Verbier Festival est un événement phare de la saison d'été à Verbier. Des brillants artistes venant du monde entier viennent jouer les morceaux les plus illustres du répertoire classique au coeur des Alpes. Cette année, le Festival fête ses 30 ans, tout comme le nombre d'années d'engagement de la co-fondatrice de VFP, Véronique Fellay (à une année près). Depuis 1994, Véronique à travers son agence s'occupe des logements pour l'orchestre. De plus, elle siège aussi au Comité des Amis du Verbier Festival lequel est un soutien important pour l'événement.
